Britons are down in the dumps about the way they look. A national survey released yesterday revealed that three quarters of the population are unhappy with their appearance and would like to change something about themselves.

With the global economy in poor shape and the feeling being that seniors are more likely to be laid-off than their younger counterparts, it is no surprise that many older people turn to cosmetic surgery in a bid to boost their self-confidence and help their job prospects.
However according to some cosmetic surgeons, older patients are increasingly opting for body contouring operations over facial cosmetic surgery such as facelifts or Botox. Over half of women over 50 are thought to go under the knife for some form of body cosmetic surgery such as liposuction, breast augmentation or tummy tucks.
