Von Furstenberg was on holiday in Aspen last month when another skiier crashed into her hitting her badly on her face and ribs with a camera. She is reported to have suffered a broken nose and some light facial fractures.

Talking to the New York Daily News she commented, “If I ever had any desire to have plastic surgery, I know for sure now, I would not want it.

“I was so terrified that I would lose my old face. I don’t want anybody else’s face. I don’t want a younger face. I just want my old face back.”

The 44-year old actress has said that she has no fears about growing older and says age is ‘underrated.’

“I can still move all my face muscles,” Bonham-Carter explained to British newspaper the Daily Mail. “Look! There aren’t many who can still do that!

“Age is underrated. I think what’s happening is that directors and the studios want actresses who have natural looks, who haven’t had work done. The problem is that now the high-definition camera can tell so it’s best to leave your face alone.

“Look at Judi Dench. She’s beautiful. Talk about her face being her fortune! She never stops working. That’s what I want for me.

“You have two choices – you can have the work done and look weirder; or have nothing done and look older. I think the only way I’ll continue to get work is if I don’t get anything done.

“There’s beauty in an older woman – the lines represent something.”

The Dead of Alive singer is well known for having had lip filler surgery that went drastically wrong. Burns suffered from severe allergic reactions to his fillers which left his lips swollen and blistered. Burns has recently admitted that due to the botched plastic surgery, he thought his face would “fall off” and that he might have to have his lips amputated however this hasn’t put him off having more work done.

“My most recent overhaul was about a month ago,” he told Reveal magazine. “I had a minor facelift and my eyes slanted. I also have regular peels and Botox. It’s something I’ll always do.

“People redecorate their homes every few years and I see this as no different. Changing my face is like buying a new sofa.”

At London Fashion Week in September, Pete sported new facial piercings in his eyebrows, forehead and cheekbones. These piercings have now gone.

“I had piercings all over my face which did look dreadful,” Burns continued. “But I got them done while waiting for my husband Michael to get a tattoo. I was bored.”

Burns also explained the horror he went through with his botched lip fillers.

“My doctor punctured it and the yellow discharge that came out filled two mugs,” Burns explained. “I was put on antibiotics but my whole face began to swell. I was housebound for nine months and I couldn’t move my head – discharge would pour out.

“One [corrective plastic surgeon] told me my lips were so bad they would need amputating – it was terrifying.”

Despite having had multiple plastic surgeries, Burns doesn’t believe that he is a cosmetic surgery addict.

“I don’t feel like I am addicted to surgery,” he continued. “I could leave it alone for long periods of time if I wanted. I’ll wait another couple of years before my next overhaul – my face might fall off!”

“First and foremost, I’m an actor and so I don’t want to do anything to my face. I can do whatever I want, and I’m still going to be 49 years old, it’s not going to change anything,” Moore said.

“I don’t know that I’m going to look any younger, I’m just going to look like I’ve had something done to my face.”

Moore is also unlikely to follow the trend of having Botox injected into her face to help iron out wrinkles.

“I don’t know why women do Botox,” she continued. “It doesn’t make them look younger, it just makes them look like they had work done. You are not going to look the same as you did at 25. What are you going to do about it?

“It’s hard for actresses. Our faces get to be blown up 50ft wide, and you see stuff that otherwise you wouldn’t. People freak out.”

The Body of Proof star told Prevention that she chose to have Botox injections seven years ago after they were recommended by her dermatologist. However when the Botox was injected, the needle hit a nerve causing a large hematoma (localized swelling filled with blood).

Since the injection, the nerve has been dead. This has caused her long-term complications – the muscle in her right eye is now affected and the eye is beginning to droop.

Delaney’s experience shows that no matter how safe or how long a procedure has been around, there is always the possibility of complications. Prospective plastic surgery patients should always research treatments thoroughly to ensure they are aware of all the side effects, no matter how small, so that they are aware of the possible complications – that could arise.

“I want my kids to know when I’m p***ed, when I’m happy and when I’m confounded,” she said in an interview with Elle magazine. “Your face tells a story and it shouldn’t be a story about your drive to the doctor’s office.”

Roberts, who is currently the face of luxury beauty brand Lancome, has said she doesn’t fully understand the obsession with looking young.

“It’s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don’t even give themselves a chance to see what they’ll look like as older persons,” she commented. “I want to have some idea of what I’ll look like before I start cleaning the slates.”

Roberts has recently shot a new film, ‘Eat, Pray, Love’, and the actress has admitted that she put on 10lbs whilst filming the role. The story involves a lot of eating pizza in Italy, and surprisingly, Roberts really did eat it all – sometimes as much as ten slices of pizza a day.

“Like in the scene with the pizza, by the time the scene is over, I’ve eaten the entire piece,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “When we were in Naples, we started shooting at eight in the morning, and I think by 8:45 I’d eaten eight or ten pieces of pizza. Pizza was what I ate all day that day.”

However the weight gain was not unexpected – it was, in fact, planned. In the book, the main character gains weight in Italy before heading off to India and Roberts has followed the book’s plot.

“I could have used a bigger pair of jeans when I went off to India!” Roberts exclaimed.

The dimpleplasty surgery will not give entirely natural results however. The dimples themselves will remain permanently rather than only appearing when the patient smiles.

The actual dimpleplasty surgery involves the cosmetic surgeon making a tiny cut in the skin to create a small depression. A stitch is then used to hold the underside of the skin down to a deeper layer and hold it in place, creating the dimple indent. Once this suture dissolves, permanent scar tissue should remain holding the indent in place.

Caution should be advised with this cosmetic surgery as it is relatively new and therefore there are no long-term studies over it’s efficacy or results over time. There is as yet no study showing how the dimple will age and some people are concerned that the dimple may start to look slightly peculiar as the face ages and droops slightly.

Although most of the dimple enquiries have come from women, a small number of men are also looking to have this surgery done to create a chin cleft.

The 18 year old, who was junior tennis champion at the French Open in 2008, has had breast reduction surgery to decrease the size of her breasts from a 34DD to a 34C. Halep explained that the weight on her chest thanks to her generous breasts was causing her severe back pain and affected her on-court performance.

In a bid to improve her game, she had breast reduction surgery last summer and unveiled her new look at the recent French Open tennis tournament.

Unfortunately, the cosmetic surgery doesn’t appear to have had the required effect just yet. Halep, who is currently ranked at number 114 in the world, was beaten by Samantha Stosur on Monday.

The breast reduction surgery was not welcome by some of her fans who even petitioned her in an attempt to get her to reconsider her decision. “It’s the weight that troubles me,” Halep explained. “My ability to react quickly, my breasts make me uncomfortable when I play.

“I don’t like them in my everyday life, either. I would have gone for surgery even if I hadn’t been a sportswoman.”

“I’ve been honest about the fact that I did use Botox,” she told newspaper the News of the World. “But I don’t any more, I won’t go near it. I have lines. You can see the lines on my face. I wouldn’t want to go under the knife. You’re not yourself if you do that.”

Instead, Kylie has put her beautiful looking skin down to Pond’s Cold Cream, a bargain high street cream that her mother also uses.
