Scientists have warned that Botox injections may cause harmful side effects in areas of the body that have not had the Botox injected.
Many people are aware that some of the side effects of Botox injections may include muscle weakness and/or sagging around the injection area. However new research has shown that Botox may have effects on other areas of the body as well and that the injections may be harmful over a long period of time.

Actress Dana Delaney has said that following problems with Botox injections, she has been put off cosmetic surgery for life.
The Body of Proof star told Prevention that she chose to have Botox injections seven years ago after they were recommended by her dermatologist. However when the Botox was injected, the needle hit a nerve causing a large hematoma (localized swelling filled with blood).

Hollywood star Julia Roberts has vowed never to get Botox as she wants her children to be able to be able to easily read her emotions.
“I want my kids to know when I’m p***ed, when I’m happy and when I’m confounded,” she said in an interview with Elle magazine. “Your face tells a story and it shouldn’t be a story about your drive to the doctor’s office.”

Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures on the market. But has the Botox backlash begun?

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has admitted to having Botox injections. The 43 year old beauty has also admitted that she had considered having more invasive cosmetic surgery on her face however she decided against it as it made women look ‘unreal’.
Crawford has said that she has visited a London cosmetic surgeon for several years now to have the Botox injections.
“There’s a doctor here in London who I’ve gone to for Botox,” she commented in an interview with the Daily Mail.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey has had dermal fillers to help reduce the deepset wrinkles on his face.
Ramsey has had filler injections on the lines around his face to help plump out the creases on his face, a cosmetic procedure he is reported to have spent around £400 on. Ramsey has said that he decided to have the filler injections after music mogul Simon Cowell suggested he should have it done.
