A new side effect has been found in breast augmentations. According to new research, having a breast augmentation increases the risk of a rare cancer called anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALCL).
Research has shown that as many as 60 women out of the 5-10 million who have had breast implants worldwide have developed ALCL. This compares to the normal rate of around 3 women in 100 million.

Scientists have warned that Botox injections may cause harmful side effects in areas of the body that have not had the Botox injected.

New research has shown that a cosmetic surgery for reconstructing breast tissue using stem cells is safe.
The stem cell breast reconstruction idea has been around for several years and has been heralded as a fantastic treatment for women who have had to have mastecotomies due to breast cancer. However there were some concerns that the new technology could see the breast cancer ‘reactivate’ over time.

A new machine that promises to freeze away the flab has been developed by scientists. Reportedly cheaper than liposuction and with patients able to go home almost immediately, the new procedure is sure to spark plenty of interest in cosmetic surgery enthusiasts.
The new machine is known as the ‘CoolSculpting Device’. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have already approved it’s use and one machine is already operating in a London clinic.
