DIY Botox
Experts have warned people not to buy cheap DIY Botox kits. Botox kits, costing as little as $100, have appeared on the internet, most notable on the auction site eBay. The kits contain needles, saline (for mixing with the Botox powder), Botox powder, and a facial diagram showing where to inject the Botox.
Botox is most reknowned for use in the cosmetic surgery industry where it is used to help soften wrinkles on the face. Botox should only ever be injected by a professional as Botox is made from the botulinium bacteria which is actually a poison.
The UK’s Medicines Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority have said they are unable to stop Botox being sold to British consumers from American sellers as US companies are outside it’s jurisdiction. Instead, the FDA would have to take action.
Common side effects and risks associated with Botox include pain, swelling, soreness, asymmetry in the face, ‘droopy face’, permanent numbness and lack of movement. It is important that if you are considering Botox injections that you are not tempted by these cheap Botox kits. Instead, make sure you go to a qualified professional to have your Botox injections.

Botox is more than just a solution to beat wrinkles. It can even be used as a pain medication to fight Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), according to a new study.
